NIGHT TWO: #4theQulture - A Virtual three-day Pride experience

Reunion ChicagoOTV - Open Television and Slo 'Mo present the intersectional Pride turnup we deserve! #4TheQultureFEST commemorates 50 years of Chicago Pride and uplifts our entire community, especially our Black siblings always on the front lines of change. We reflect on the past, present and future of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC activism, talent and joy and vow to showcase how our community is moving forward to the future to more inclusive and brave futures.

Programming will feature Chicago queer party & performance collectives A Queer PrideFuturehoodMolasses ChicagoFabitat and Unfriendly Black Hotties providing original content with the prompt of honoring the past, present and future of Pride. We also have some surprise performances by a few icons in the making alongside a few cameos from over a dozen Chicago-based community orgs and initiatives.

Doing something “for the culture” means to make a creative offering to benefit the cultural zeitgeist - something you might not have normally done but it feels important for the current climate and community. “While previously we wouldn't have put on virtual Pride festival, in this unexpected and unprecedented timeline we feel compelled to provide engaging, uplifting and accessible queer content to our community - for the culture,” said Reunion Development Director and OTV Executive Director Elijah McKinnon.
